Tuesday July 28 2009 THE SPINE, THE MIND AND MEDITATION


Class tonight at 7:00 pm

Age is measured by the flexibility of the spine: to stay young, stay flexible.
Tonight's Kriya works with the subtle energy of the spine by increasing flexibility and the circulation of cerebral spinal fluid.
As we bathe the brain in fresh cerebral spinal fluid we gain greater mental clarity, and prepare ourselves for deep meditation.

It is simple, straighforward, with moments of movement, and moments of rest.
If your focus is on both, you will feel the body begin to change as the kriya progresses.

Our Meditation to follow is the : SEVEN-WAVE "SAT NAM" MEDITATION

SAT: Truth
NAM: Name

It is said that as you build this meditation " The mind will be cleansed just as the ocean waves wash the sandy beach."
This is the bij (seed) mantra meditation.
Bij mantras such as Sat Nam are sounds which can totally rearrange the habit patterns of the mind. We all have them and could not function without them. But often we change and we would like our patterns to change. By vibrating the sound current Sat Nam in this manner, you can activate the energy of the mind that erases and establishes habits.

Come, work hard, and refresh your mind, body and soul.
