When we mentally state the names of the body's organ systems, the lymphatic system is probably not the first to come to mind. Yet without this quietly working system, our cardiovascular system would stop working and our immune system would be hopelessly impaired. This system actually consists of two semi-independent parts. 1- a meandering network of lymphatic vessels and 2- various lymphoid tissues and organs scattered throughout the body. The lymphatic vessels transport back to the blood any fluids that have escaped from the blood vascular system. The lymphoid organs house phagocytic cells and lymphocytes, which play essential roles in the body's defense mechanisms and its resistance to disease.
Todays Kriya: KUNDALINI YOGA FOR THE LYMPH SYSTEM is a dynamic and vigorous set that works the entire body by refreshing the lymph tissues. You will work hard, sweat, and feel amazing.
We will then be working with an equally amazing meditation:
TO SEE THE UNSEEN
(Self Experience pg 42)
Through this meditation the brain will create its own form of morphine to give the body endurance. The metabolism will change, the glands will secrete, the nervous system will be strengthened, and the brain will renew itself.
"You will see the Unseen, a little bit. You will hear the Unheard, a little bit. You will know the Unknown, a little bit. You will get a taste of it and you will keep going." Yogi Bhajan
